Privacy

Your data, made clear.

Last updated 23 July 2026. Controller: Andrea Dessi, trading as Ondaloo (United Kingdom). ICO registration pending.

This page covers ondaloo.app — our public information site. It explains exactly what happens with your data here, where it goes, and who can see it. No surprises, nothing sold, no third-party trackers.

In short

  • This site has no sign-up form and collects no personal information about you on its own.
  • We use PostHog (EU-hosted) for privacy-friendly analytics — only if you accept the cookie banner. Decline, and nothing loads or tracks at all.
  • When you apply, your application is stored securely in our database (hosted in the EU) and triggers a private notification to our team — it doesn't create an account or touch the separate app.
  • We never sell or share your data. You can access, correct, or delete anything we hold at any time by emailing us — we aim to respond within 30 days.

What we collect

This site itself has no sign-up or contact form, so it doesn't collect your name, email, or any other personal detail on its own. It stores two things in your own browser, described below, plus — only if you accept our cookie banner — some anonymised analytics.

If you arrived here through a marketing link, we store the campaign/source tags in that link (for example utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) in your browser, and pass them along if you continue to our application page — so we know which channels are actually helping people find Ondaloo. These tags describe the link you clicked, not you.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no third-party cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. It uses your browser's local storage (and a small first-party cookie for the same purpose) to:

  • Remember your language preference, so you don't get redirected every visit
  • Remember the marketing link that first brought you here, so credit goes to the right channel if you apply later
  • Remember your analytics cookie choice (see "Analytics" below)

None of this is shared with advertisers, and none of it is used to track you across other websites.

Analytics

We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to understand how people use this site — which pages get visited, and an approximate location from your device and IP address (we don't collect precise location). This is for improving the product only: we never sell or share this data with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

Analytics is entirely opt-in. Nothing loads and nothing is tracked unless you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit — decline, and no analytics runs at all. We keep analytics data for 12 months, then it's deleted. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's site data for ondaloo.app, or by emailing us at the address below.

Where your information goes

The site is hosted on Netlify. Because there's no form here, nothing you do on this site is sent to us as personal data — the language preference and marketing-source tags described above stay in your own browser.

When you choose to apply, the "Apply" buttons take you to our application form, right here on ondaloo.app. Your application — your name, email, the route you're moving, and your timeframe — is stored securely in our database (hosted in the EU) and triggers a private notification to our team so we can review it. It doesn't create an account, and it isn't processed by the separate Ondaloo app. We keep it as research to help us build and improve the product. The marketing-source tags ride along in that link so we can credit the right channel; they describe the link, not you.

Nobody outside Ondaloo sees your information. We don't sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Why we keep the marketing tags

The only thing this site remembers about how you got here is the marketing link you arrived through. We use it to understand which channels actually help people find Ondaloo, and to credit the right one if you go on to apply. It isn't used to build a profile of you or to track you across other sites. What you provide in an application is covered separately, in "Where your information goes" above.

How long we keep it

The language preference and marketing-source tags live in your own browser until you clear them (the source tag expires after about six months). Applications are retained as research to help us build and improve the product. If you'd like anything deleted sooner, just ask.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

  • Send you a copy of what we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete your information entirely
  • Stop using it and tell us you object

Email andreadessi.work@gmail.com for any of these — we aim to respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We'd rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

The app

If you go on to create an account, that happens separately in the Ondaloo app (move.ondaloo.app). A separate policy covers your account and plan data there — see the app's privacy policy.

Questions
